Health and Safety Related Courses
Intrinsic Training Solutions have developed an extensive range of Nationally recognised certificated short courses to ensure the courses in:are available at the various different skill levels to meet the required demand required and meet regulatory training requirements Regulation (EC) 852/2004 on the hygiene of foodstuffs
The extensive range of Food Safety, HACCP, Health and Safety and Health and Safety related courses available are certificated by two instantly nationally recognised Awarding Organistions.
- The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)
- The Royal Institute of Public Health (RSPH).
- Both the CIEH & RSPH are widely acknowledged for their high level of quality assurance, stability, experience and expertise in the Food Production working environment.
- Intrinsic Training Solutions a recognised and an approved centre for both these instantly recognised Awarding Organisations.
The courses have been developed over time to enable Intrinsic Training Solutions to work within the Food Production industry to deliver the training to aid development of an organisation's workforce to meet the
- regulatory requirements of the Food Safety Act requiring suitable food safety training.
for the training to help meet the requirements of the New - BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (English): Issue 5 - Identifying the Brtish Retail Consirtium (BRC) will be working more closely with certification and accreditation bodies. The Requirements identify the need for "personnel performing work that effects the product safety, legality and quality are demonstrably competent to carry out their activity, through training, work experience or qualification."
The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety (English): Issue 5 go on to identify:
- 7.1.2 "Where personnel are engaged in activity relevant to critical control points, relevant training and competency assessment shall be in place. As a direct result of this requirement Intrinsic Training Solutions are now able to offer the recently CIEH approved Level 2 Award in the principles of Level 2 Award in HACCP-based Food Safety Systems in Manufacturing. This qualification is designed for those working or preparing to work in food businesses where a food safety management system based on Codex HACCP principles is implemented."

The courses follow the Awarding Organisation's syllabus and therefore everyone needs to pass the assessment (usually an examination) to be successful. However to ensure the courses suit your needs as an organisation we are able to add to and emphasise areas of the syllabus to meet your organisational additional needs.
The training courses are delivered in English although exam papers are available in very many different languages and providing individuals have an understanding of English to understand the course content we offer the option of a
- foreign language test paper or
- oral test paper.
We also have an extensive choice of the Health and Safety and Health and Safety related courses Intrinsic Training Solutions are approved to deliver again certificated by both Awarding Organisations the CIEH and RSPH. These courses are listed below:

When delivering all our C.I.E.H. or R.S.P.H. certificated training courses are available as an open course delivered in the local area open to members of the public. Alternatively we work with food production organisations to meet their training needs.
