The qualification will benefit a range of different employees in different job roles including:

• New employees with little or no previous food safety knowledge.
• Employees handling low risk or wrapped food.
• Employees who work front of house like waiting tables or serving at checkouts.
• Emplyees who work on meals on wheels or similar duties.
• Employees working as back up staff kitchen porters or warehouse staff.
• Employees starting to work in food factories but not in "high risk" sections of the plant.

The training programme will include

• Food safety responsibilities including identifying hazards and personal and workplace hygiene.
• Cleaning
• Contamination

• The course is delivered over 3 hours usually in one 1/2 day.
• Attendees are assessed by completing a 15 question multiple choice test paper.
• All successful attendees will receive an individually named certificate from one of our nationally recognised accredited awarding organisations.
